|On BBC2 tonight: if you've got it, flaunt it...|

Anyway, what excitement!! I mean, driving the world's most expensive car (and probably one with the most famous history) to work through the highways in the morning... Darn, that will make my day, any day! To add icing to the cake, it's a Ferrari!! My favorite car maker!! Wow! I actually admire the guy for using it for his daily commute - that's what the car was built for - to be driven (ok, not necessarily commuting) - not sitting in some museum, private or otherwise...
I love going to auctions! I used to (and still occasionally) go to auctions at places like Stanley Gibbons (stamps) and Christies (watches), even though in most occasions, I've no intention of bidding for anything - just want to get the feel of the prices and the rush of the auction scene...
One of the British auctioneers in the program mentioned that British-styled auctions are very different from American ones, which I agree completely. A good friend of mine, who's a Bostonian and owns his little auction business in the UK, learnt his auction trade in Hawaii and I've been to a couple of auctions that he's hosted... Man, I found his style very difficult to work with (as a bidder) - that quick firing style just doesn't even allow me the space to think... I don't think I'd bid in his auctions...
